Masats launches a new Gap-Filler at Innotrans
MASATS is presenting a worldwide new development this year – the all-new Gap-Filler model, an automatically extending running board that is installed in a station’s fixed infrastructure for safe and comfortable passenger access, especially people with reduced mobility. The main characteristics of this equipment are speed, lightness and extensive coverage. The device was designed to cover considerable gaps between a train and platform with a base that extends up to 400 mm to also cover a large part of the platform with the immense width of up to 3 m long. This all-new product is possible with the innovative use of very light yet robust materials and the inclusion of state-of-the-art motor drive technologies for full extension or retraction in less than a second. It is a new family of running boards that Masats has designed for its platform accessibility systems which can be integrated and interact with Masats platform door systems.
