Masats launches a new field of activity
Masats strengthens its commitment to the rail sector, presenting its Platform Door at InnoTrans.
At this edition of InnoTrans, Masats is enlarging its stand to present the new product: Platform Screen Doors (PSD). Masats’ commitment to Platform Screen Doors responds to the business strategy of consolidation and expansion in its sphere of activity. It is a complex technological product that must meet the strictest demands of the market.
Masat’s PSD Platform Screen Doors have been designed, developed and tested in Barcelona and comply with maximum requirements in terms of reliability, availability and safety. They have been designed to meet SIL2, SIL3 or SIL4 safety levels, according to standards EN50128 and EN 50129 and their certification will be completed in December 2016. The displacement of the sliding doors is by means of a spindle drive and high durability guidance, powered by a high performance, low maintenance brushless motor. The design of the platform closure system, beyond presenting a modern and elegant appearance, has been devised as modular and customizable, with the capacity to adapt to the needs of the user. The self-supporting modularity of the doors will facilitate installation and maintenance and the versatile design of the modules allows the customer to incorporate a wide selection of auxiliary elements and tools for passengers in the platform closure structure.
